Using Adobe Photoshop® to initially alter the chroma and tonal characteristics
of the image, I created a range of faces that may pass as belonging to a
variety of ethnic groups. These were placed in Flash® to animate them
and then to save as a .swf file or a Quicktime movie for web publishing.
note:
we are still dependant on access to a computer and the files or have internet
access, in order to appreciate the unexpected results of the animation, to
see the changes as the colours morph from one image to the other.
So, I have produced ‘hard copy’ to imitate the idea of the animation.
I expect to be able to produce work like this to be published on a single
standalone card similar to a ‘3D’
postcard, with out the need for cables, connections and access and passwords.
